ISO Standards

The International Standards Organization (ISO) is the recognized global source for traceability procedures. The audit-based programs developed by ISO are designed to provide reliable verification of specific procedures in production and handling. Two specific ISO programs are applicable for the natural food business.

ISO 22005 Requirements for Traceability in the Feed and Food Chain

ISO 22005 establishes the procedures and protocols necessary to develop a reliable and auditable traceability system for the food chain.

ISO 90001 – Quality Management in Food Manufacturing

ISO 9001:2008  establishes the requirements for a quality management system which can be used for certification by organizations that wish to have their conformity to the standard verified by an independent auditor.
